I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all my podcast guests so far! Wow, 20 episodes of The Desmore Chats With Podcast, how amazing!!!!! A big THANK YOU to you my beautiful listeners for listening and engaging with the podcast shows.
I remember thinking about launching a podcast that would encourage women to feel good about themselves in their everyday life. My creative juices flowed and I had written down my synopsis for the show. Once I had my vision and my purpose for the direction of my show, I then had to find a location to host my show. I enjoy meeting my guests in person and I love the feel good energy my guests bring to the studio, soulful indeed! Such a powerful human connection meeting like minded souls.
My biggest challenge was trying to figure out how I am going to record my show, truth be told I am not particularly fond of working with recording equipment, not my strongest skillset that’s for sure. I remember purchasing my podcast equipment and I was horrified to be honest. Trying to figure out how to record my podcast episodes, which button to press, is my microphone on, what if I forgot to turn on my microphones or what if I lost a podcast recording. Oh dear, I had so many challenges ahead of me and truth be told investing in your own equipment to start off your podcast show can be costly. I was willing to take the risk as I believe in my podcast and Desmore Media platform so ahead I pushed.
I remember recording the first few episodes and I messed up big time. I lost my first episode and I cried on the studio floor, having to call up my guest and tell her that the episode had not been recorded, what an epic fail I thought. I sat on the studio floor, thinking to myself, this is so embarrassing, for both myself and for my guest who had given up her precious time to record my podcast interview.
Needless to say I encountered many more technical issues along the way, but my persistence had paid off. I am so comfortable with my equipment and I enjoy working with my equipment every week. With 40 podcast shows lined up this year I am looking forward to growing my feel good podcast globally and inspiring as many as I can to feel good in their everyday life.
I have learnt at a very young age, that if you want to create the life you want, you have to push through and make choices that will support your desire. Giving up is not an option for me; I enjoy learning and growing always in all ways. I have a vision and I know where I am going. I have also learnt to accept and surrender to my life’s greater purpose and to make peace with the unknown. If you want to see more of what you desire in the world, you have to be the change you want to see more of in the world, it all starts with you. Don’t give up!
I am so grateful for every milestone, cheers to many more to come.
